Leviathan. The Leviathan is often an embodiment of chaos that threatens to eat the damned afterlife. Within us exists a struggle between who we want to be and who we believe we are at our core. This sculpture is based on a friend who married in a different culture. While at first, it seemed foreign to him, the time allowed him to embrace that culture and feel a part of it. So much so that he no longer sees himself as an outsider. What if the inner demon is not a demon at all, but a call to action to be more than we are? What if the demon, is just fear of change and doing things that are challenging?
